Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Oil

Evening All,

I know it has been forever since I have posted! Lots has happened since I've been away, not all of it good but oh well! I was ill for the whole of January which wasn't great but on the plus side I have started a new job that I absolutely love. Anyway.. back to the skincare side of things I thought I would write a little bit about a product that I have been using for about 3 weeks now and absolutely love. I was sat at home whilst I was ill watching Kaushal Beauty on YouTube and she was talking about this oil she loved and I just had to give it a try. It's not pricey in comparison with a lot of facial oils on the market however for Body Shop I did this it was slightly on the expensive side at £28, however this was before I'd had a chance to try it and it is definitely worth every single pound! I have been using this product every morning and night since purchase, its non greasy and soaks into the skin with ease, it also is a great base for applying makeup as it helps it blend easily on the face rather than caking up like some foundations have the tendency to do. I was slightly hesitant at first about trying this as I have oily skin and was concerned that it would cause and outbreak of spots (not that I need any more of those!) but thankfully it seems to have greatly improved my skin, the slight amount of acne scarring I do have on my face is slowly fading away and all round my skin has improved! The oil has a lovely fragrance, not too strong and the fact that it is made of 99% natural oils was definitely one of the reasons I purchased this, too many products these days are filled with harsh chemicals that just dry out the skin.

I strongly suggest that you all get down to your nearest BodyShop store and I am certain you won't be disappointed :)

Tea Tree Oil - Body Shop

I have been looking for something natural to try and help improve my skin and have always been a
big fan of the Body Shop. I received an email a couple of weeks ago saying that there was 30% off online and I just couldn't resist and had to buy some goodies. I ended up purchasing three products - Tea Tree Oil, Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion and Sea Weed Mattifying Day Cream. I will eventually write posts on all but am going to stick with the Tea Tree range for this particular post.

So .. lets start with the Tea Tree Oil!
I have been applying this every evening after washing my face before going to bed, you only need a small amount as it is quite strong! I was also worried that it would dry out my skin if I used too much. Unfortunately at the moment my skin doesn't seem to want to go the way I want it and there always seems to be a couple of problem blemishes that I can't quite seem to get rid of! However ...this tea tree oil has worked wonders on my face, all of the blemishes are significantly smaller and not quite so red and prominent. I will definitely keep using this product as it is antibacterial so helps fight the spots at the start before they get a chance to fully appear! Also helps stops the spread of spots on the face too which I really needed.

I managed to limit myself on this particular online spree however i'm sure it will not be long before I am back on the website slowly spending all my wages on the amazing smelling products they have to offer!

Clinique Clarifying Lotion

I haven't posted in a while I know .. I have been very busy! However I intend to make sure that I post weekly from now on as I have quite a few new beauty purchases to share my opinions on. I have recently come back from 2 weeks in Spain which I really really really didn't want to come back from, I had such a lovely time and the weather was amazing but I guess all good things come to an end and I have now had to come back to the absolute delight also known as England to sit at my desk watching the never ending rain. During my stay in Spain I raided the Spanish version of House of Fraser to see what I could find and the Clinique Clarifying Lotion happened to be on offer, so I thought why not. As I have quite oily skin I thought the best idea would be to go for the one for oily skin. When I first opened the bottle I found that the product has a very distinct smell of alcohol and was rather hesitant to be putting this on my face! I have used many different Clinique products before (mainly makeup) and have always been very impressed with the results. I applied some of the lotion to a cotton pad and smoothed it all over my face as the instructions say, I must say it did sting a little and I was quite unsure if this was a good sting or a bad sting. I have continued to use this product for a week or so daily and at the moment it seems to be drying my skin out slightly however I like to hope that after using this for a while longer my skin may get used to it, I do think maybe I should have purchased the one for Oily Combination skin so that it had the right balance so maybe next time that will be the one to buy.

Hair SOS

Evening All,

I know it's been a while since I've posted I know I have been slacking. This post is really to help me out and get some tips from fellow bloggers about how to achieve nice thick healthy hair. I have always dreamed of having lovely long thick hair however still haven't quite got there. I've tried shampoos that claim to thicken hair but nothing seems to work and the colossal amount of baby hair I have really doesn't help me either! I have been told that taking Biotin works but I'm guessing that's over a very long period of time (I am impatient haha), I'm sure that straightening my hair every other day isn't helping me either but I just can't stop! I'm always flicking through Instagram looking at pictures of girls with amazing hair and am so jealous!

So.. What have you all been using to keep your hair super healthy? Any ideas welcome :)

Murad Exfoliating Blemish Treatment Gel

So it seems at the ripe old age of 22 I still haven't grown out of getting spots and am beginning to wonder if this is going to happen. I don't have really bad skin and don't tend to get many spots however I always seem to have at least one or two and its somewhat frustrating! I'll wake up happy that one has disappeared and before you know it another has made an appearance. I am on a mission to find something to combat spots for good however I don't seem to have come across anything yet so if anyone has any good products to recommend please send your ideas my way!

I have however found a product that does seem to work its magic overnight by significantly reducing redness and also either getting rid of or shrinking the spots to near non existence. I hadn't tried any Murad products prior to this but have always heard good things and have read some good reviews also so thought I would give it a go. I apply this product whenever I get any blemishes and apply a small amount to the effected area before I go to bed, it stings a little when applied however the feeling soon goes away and its worth it if you are going to wake up with a clearer complexion the next day! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that suffers with mild acne or the odd bout of spots as it has really helped me and is not too expensive!

LiBrow

There are no words to describe how much I love this product. I am always sceptical about products like these and have always thought it was just a con to make you spend money with no real results. However this product has really proved me wrong. For years I have wanted my eyebrows to look thick and shapely again, I am sure others can relate to the regretful destroying of eyebrows during their schools years, I ruined mine. It had never really bothered me too much until one day my lovely boyfriend kindly told me 'you could park a bus in between your eye brows', then that was it I was on a mission to get my lovely dark thick eyebrows back into shape again! Everywhere I looked I saw girls with amazingly shaped eyebrows and I just wanted mine to look the same. I got talking to one of my friends (http://www.sarahtrademark.com/) who had tried out LiBrow and told me to give it a go!

I had a read up and was kindly sent this product to try out along with LiLash which I cannot wait to try! After speaking to my friend I was advised to apply this product every night before I went to sleep to gradually encourage hair growth back to the area and densify the hair that is currently there, after a couple of weeks I could already see the results. I have not plucked my eyebrows in over a month now which is a massive achievement for me as I used to pluck them the moment I saw a stray hair I didn't like. I have been using the product for over a month now every night and can see a huge difference in my eyebrows, before they were very thin and I had to draw them on in places to even them out and it is such a good feeling knowing I won't have to do that again!

I would really encourage who like me want a fast, easy and effective brow thickening treatment then visit https://www.lilash.com/librow/.

Soap & Glory Fab Pore 2-in-1 Masque & Peeling

Evening All,

Thought I would do a quick post on one of my most recent purchases the Soap & Glory Fab Pore 2-in-1 masque & peeling. I purchased this along with two other Soap & Glory products as I was taking advantage of Boots 2 for 1 offer (couldn't resist!), having lots of outgoings recently (holidays, birthdays, nights out and funding my hefty appetite) has meant that I am having to cut back on my cosmetic/skincare purchases so unfortunately the Glamglow Supermud is off my list for the foreseeable future even though I loved it dearly. I have never used any of Soap & Glory's products before so wasn't to sure what to expect, lots of people I know use their products, especially my sister, she has a whole collection accumulating so thought I was give them a try for myself. I will write another post in the near future on the other two products I purchased.

Sooo .. back to the face mask.

Honestly, I can't fault it. It has everything you want from a face mask. It is easy to apply, smells pleasant, is easy to remove and actually does the main job of refining your pores, helping eliminate the dreaded spots and keeping skin smooth and hydrated! I use this face mask 2 times as instructed on the product itself (it advises once weekly for a facial detox or twice weekly for spot prevention which I seem to have to do a lot of at the moment! At first I thought that this would be too frequent to use a mask and would dry out my skin however it doesn't set like other masks, it doesn't make your face feel stiff either and it certainly works itself magic on those pores & spots!

I will definitely be continuing to use this face mask until I discover a new one!

Shaving or Epliating?

Evening All!

Sorry about slacking with the posts again, this evenings post is to gather some opinions on whether you all prefer epilating or shaving as both have their pro's and con's. About a year ago I purchased my Braun Silk Epil epilator, it was £60 or so at the time and I was so excited to use it (oh how I was in for a shock). I still remember the first time I used it, WORST pain I have ever felt in my life, it took me over an hour to do half a leg as I couldn't bare the burning pain! At the time I compared it to the level of pain I thought child birth would feel like haha, completing both legs felt like such an achievement and it was such a good feeling knowing after it was all done that the hair wouldn't grow back fully for a good 2 weeks, if not longer until such time as I would need to use the dreaded epilator again. I don't know many people that use epilators but as I have dark hair I feel it is a much more effective and saves having to shave every few days. For years I shaved my legs and got fed up of stubbly legs and having to shave so often, hair removal cream is way too expensive to keep using on your legs and I haven't quite manned up to waxing yet either.

So, The question is, what do you all do & what is best?
& For those that do epilate, any tips to stop it from hurting so much?!

GOSH Velvet Touch Foundation Primer

Wow it really has been forever since my last post and for that I am incredibly sorry! I have had a very busy month or so, started a new job this week and as I am sure many of you will agree it tends to be a very stressful time! I can assure you that starting from this week I will do my absolute best to post 1-2 times a week! ..

Right well back to the beauty talk, I have recently purchased a new primer. I had never used any of GOSH Cosmetics products until I purchased this and they certainly have found themselves a new customer. I have used various other primers in the past and didn't think much of them however this one is fantastic. It is so light and non greasy, I have found that since using this product my makeup has had a much more flawless look as this really helps to minimise pores and blemishes and keep the complexion looking smooth and radiant. It has a clear consistency and applies so easily, I use a small amount of this daily prior to applying my foundation. So for any of you GOSH virgins out there I highly suggest you give this product a go and I can assure you that you'll be more than happy with its results!

Eucerin Dermo Purifyer Hydrating Moisturiser

I have to admit that the La Roshe Posay Effaclar duo has now been beaten by this little beauty. I am now totally in love with the Eucerin products and will definitely be purchasing others in the range. As I suffer with fairly oily skin I needed to find something that wasn't greasy or heavy on this skin and this product is perfect. It is light and refreshing to apply, it sinks in quickly without leaving your face feeling sticky or looking shiny. I also chose this product as it specifically caters for those with blemish prone skin which is something that I was mainly looking for in a moisturiser.

I have been applying this daily before bed and in the mornings when I wake up before putting on my makeup, I can already see a significant difference in my skin after using this product. My skin looks less red, my spots/blemishes are pretty much gone and any spots I do have are not red and inflamed. I can't wait to purchase the other products within the Dermo purifying range. Another reason I was attracted to the Eucerin range is the price, everything is very reasonably priced. If all of the other products work as well as this then Eucerin will have a very local customer!
